Our Founding Mission

IMG_5302_edited.jpg

The Hampton Bays Civic Association was founded in 1918 as the Good Ground Board of Trade.

Its stated mission was "to promote the  prosperity, welfare, and civic advancement of the

Village of Good Ground by united effort

and action in every possible lawful manner."

Our Continuing Mission

The Hampton Bays Civic Association is a 501(c)(4) civic organization run by volunteers.

Today we strive to continue to carry out the original mission of our founders.

The HBCA advocates for the Hampton Bays community to protect our fragile environment and infrastructure and to maintain and improve the quality of life of its residents.  We work to keep the community informed through our monthly membership meetings, email correspondence and enhanced technology.   We provide a platform for residents’ concerns and proposals.  As an unincorporated hamlet in the Town of Southampton, we advocate for transparency, accountability and inclusion from our town officials.
